ARKHEIN K9 · Personal protection dogs & training

Protection starts with
the right partnership.

A protection dog must fit the life you share. Ark begins with the dog, the household, and the relationship—then builds the foundations for responsible protection work.

The partnership is part of the work.

Three ways to begin

Where are you starting?

Whether you’re looking for a protection dog, a puppy, or training for the dog you already own, the first step is understanding your needs.

01 / FINDING YOUR DOG

I’m looking for a protection dog.

Tell us about your household, experience, daily routines, and expectations. We’ll discuss suitability, the selection and development process, and what ownership would involve.

Availability, training needs, and pricing are discussed individually.

02 / WORKING WITH YOUR DOG

I already own my dog.

Start with an evaluation of your dog’s temperament, confidence, stability, and working potential. We’ll discuss your goals and whether protection training is an appropriate direction.

Not every dog is suited to protection work. An honest evaluation comes first.

The ARK Way

The foundation matters.
So does life at home.

Structure, trust, clear communication, and state of mind guide the work. Protection training builds on those foundations, with attention to obedience, environmental confidence, and the dog’s ability to work with its owner.

We look beyond enthusiasm for bite work. Genetics, temperament, recovery from pressure, and household suitability all matter.

You are part of the process. Learning to understand, handle, and maintain your dog’s training is an essential part of the partnership.

A considered process

Start with a conversation.
Build with purpose.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Your life and your goals

Complete the guided application so we can learn about your household and the role you have in mind for a protection dog.

02 / EVALUATE

The right fit

Discuss a suitable dog or evaluate your existing dog. We explain what the next steps may involve and where expectations need to be adjusted.

03 / DEVELOP

A plan for the partnership

When protection work is appropriate, we recommend an individual plan for the dog’s development and your involvement as the owner.

Protection sport

A different goal.
The same thoughtful foundation.

Interested in protection sport or individual decoy sessions? Tell us about your dog and your training goals. Sport training and personal protection have different purposes; we’ll help you identify the appropriate path and discuss current availability.

Before you begin

Questions worth asking.

Can any dog become a protection dog?

No. Suitability depends on the individual dog, including genetics, temperament, confidence, stability, drives, and recovery from pressure. An evaluation may show that protection work is not appropriate.

Is protection training about creating aggression?

No. Protection training is not a way to create aggression or solve behavior problems. We assess suitability and build the foundations for purposeful work, clear communication, and responsible handling.

How much does a program cost?

Protection dog sales consultations and protection evaluations are free. Programs and pricing are tailored to the dog, your goals, and the work involved. We discuss those details after learning about your situation.

Will I need to participate in training?

Yes. Your understanding and handling are part of the outcome. We discuss owner involvement, practice, and ongoing training needs as part of the recommended plan.

What happens after I apply?

The application asks whether you already own a dog or are looking for Ark to provide one. Complete the questions for your situation so we can review your goals and discuss the next step with you.
